The Shepherd’s Light
Carrying a softly glowing handmade lantern and accompanied by his woolly lamb, this old shepherd is ready to quietly watch over the flock on a long winter’s night.
The shepherd is handcrafted from aged and distressed fabrics and dressed in a simple homespun tunic, dark trousers, and a long hand-stitched coat with a matching hood. He holds a handmade wrapped shepherd’s crook in one hand and a rustic lighted lantern in the other. A length of worn rope and a small evergreen clipping finish his humble clothing.
Beside him stands a handcrafted lamb covered in wonderfully textured, nubby fabric with a dark primitive face and legs. Both figures are mounted securely to a large stained wooden base, creating a complete primitive Christmas display.
The battery-operated tea light is included.
This piece measures approximately 19" tall, and the wooden base measures approximately 11" wide. Because each piece is individually handmade, slight variations and imperfections are part of its primitive charm.
